Fulham Make Move for Oleksandr Zinchenko Amid Arsenal Valuation

Oleksandr Zinchenko

Fulham have offered to buy Oleksandr Zinchenko of Arsenal and negotiations behind the scenes have been taking place since before the end of the season between the West London club and the representatives of the player.

At this point, Fulham are considering whether to even make a formal offer as they consider bolstering their ranks with new recruits before the upcoming season of the Premier League.

Zinchenko is 27, and he moved to Arsenal in the summer of 2022 after a transfer of approximately £32 million that brought him to North London

He had a direct influence at the Mikel Arteta's team and technically provided quality, leadership, and tactical versatility. But a mix of injuries and tactical development of Arsenal, i.e. appearance of other alternatives at left-back such as Ricardo Calafiori and Lewis Skelly, has reduced his playing time in the first team.

Arsenal are said to be asking a possible transfer fee of about of 15 million pounds for the Ukrainian international.

The fact that Zinchenko can play as a left-back, a midfielder, and an inverted full-back would provide Marco Silva with an impressive depth and flexibility of strategy, particularly after the loss of several players and severe injury cases in the current roster.

However, despite the lack of a formal offer, the fact that Fulham has been interested in the player for a long time and maintained contact with the camp of Zinchenko indicates that there is indeed an interest on a serious level.

It is thought that the player would be receptive to a transfer in which he would benefit more consistent game time before qualification seek of the Euro 2028 in Ukraine.
