Crystal Palace also have some transfer market movements underway in a bid to boost their attacking possibilities with Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson being a key target. It is reported that Palace have negotiated with the Gunners over a deal to sell the 24-year old to the Gunners at a cost of about 15 million pounds.
Palace Target Nelson as Attacking Reinforcement
Nelson has been regarded as one of the Arsenal academy stars who went through the youth system with a lot of expectation. Nevertheless, he has not been able to get a regular starting position under Mikel Arteta despite his flashes of brilliance. As Arsenal continue to strengthen their squad during the transfer window then it appears that Nelson will have little chance of further playing opportunities which could see him head out of the door.
In the case of Crystal Palace the relocation is very sensible. The wings need a player who is more profound and creative, particularly since Eberechi Eze has just left the Eagles to join Arsenal. Nelson, with his speed, dribbling skills and capability of cutting in may offer just the kind of dynamism that Palace manager Oliver Glasner is hoping to have.
Fulham Shift Focus Elsewhere
Fulham had been interested in Nelson before, but priorities on the transfer seem to have changed. Reportedly, the Cottagers are now chasing after AC Milan Samuel Chukwueze and Kevin Kelsy of Shakhtar Donetsk, which has a better position of acquiring Crystal Palace to take Arsenal winger.
